Voting in the dark
The power is now back on at one polling location.
For two hours, many early morning voters had to cast ballots in the dark when the power went out in the 800 block of Dillard in north Houston.
Voters were given flashlights to help them see, and the machines are battery operated.
Booths don't work
Six of the 11 voting machines are down at Cullen Missionary Baptist Church in southeast Houston.
The precinct judge says technicians have come out twice to repair them, but were unsuccessful.
The judge says the wait is over an hour, and most people are patient, although several voters did leave before casting their ballots.
