Some Problems Reported at Polls
JET-TV November 8, 2006
Workers at the Erie County Department of Elections have been working to ensure the general election ran smoothly.
Wednesday, they sorted through the results of the 153 polling sites in Erie County.
Despite assurances the transition to the new voting system would be an easy one, there were some problems.
We confirmed that two voting machines in Erie and Harborcreek were taken out of service for vote switching.
Poll watchers and lawyers for both parties identified the issue and notified the County.
County officials say they are now looking at those machines.
