Snafu in voting results

SOUTH BEAVER TWP. - Election results from South Beaver Township's only precinct weren't put on the county's Web site until Wednesday afternoon because of a mistake by an elections worker at the poll.
There are three voting-machine activator devices used at every precinct: a master one to open and close the polls, and two others used to start voting machines for individual voters throughout the day, said elections director Dorene Mandity.
Mandity said South Beaver's judge of elections didn't use the master activator to close the poll. "She came in this morning to tell us," Mandity said.
Results posted last night on the county's Web site, and which remained until Wednesday afternoon, showed that only eight Democrats voted in the township and no Republicans voted.
Mandity said she didn't know of any races affected by the mistake.
