Officials say problems with voting machines delayed the start of voting for up to an hour this morning at a suburban Cincinnati precinct.
The Hamilton County Board of Elections said that voters in Newtown were unable to slide their punch-card ballots all the way into voting machines that had evidently been damaged in transit.
Board director John Williams said 30 to 40 voters were affected.
Williams said those voters were given the option of returning to vote later or having a bipartisan two-member team drive out from the board of elections to allow the voters to cast ballots at their place of work.
