Officials see few glitches across Ohio (OH)

Secretary of State Jennifer Brunner's office is reporting only minor voting problems so far in today's balloting.
There was a report from one precinct in Lucas County where ballot issues were not appearing on touch-screen voting machines because of a problem with the encoder for the devices, spokesman Patrick Gallaway said.
A technician was dispatched to the precinct to fix the problem, he said. In the meantime, voters used paper ballots. Officials do not think anyone lost the chance to vote as a result, he said. Extra paper ballots were being sent to the precinct in case they are needed later.
There also were reports of a power outage in Shelby County that affected some precincts, but that county uses all paper ballots and voting was not affected, he said.
