Manufacturer: DecoPac Inc., of Anoka, Minn.
Units Sold: About 2,500
Hazard: Surface paint on the body of the bobble head contains lead in excess of the federal lead paint standard.
Incidents/Injuries: None reported.
Remedy: Consumers should stop using the football bobble heads immediately and contact DecoPac to receive a free product of equal value.

Recalled on October 11, 2007

Importer: J.C. Penny
Units Sold: About 2,400
Hazard: Surface paints on the ornaments contain excessive levels of lead, violating the federal lead paint standard.
Incidents/Injuries: None reported.
Remedy: Consumers should keep the ornament away from young children and return it to any J.C. Penney store for a full refund.

Hazard: Surface paints on the recalled helmets contain excessive levels of lead, violating the federal lead paint standard.

Remedy: Consumers should take the recalled helmets away from young children immediately and contact Riddell to receive a full refund.

Units Sold: Hundreds of thousands
Hazard: Vote-counting accuracy, machine reliability, software coding practices, configuration management, and more — all in violation of federal standards — could cause the death of democracy in the U.S.
Incidents/Injuries: Hundreds of incidents reported in the news, by voters, and by poll worker. Lawsuits filed in multiple states by voters.
Remedy: Election officials should stop using the machines immediately, and governments that purchased the machines should sue their vendors for a full refund.
