So, not liking the marker fumes and used to touching everything on the iPhone anyway, I opted to vote plastic. The polling place had 10 conventional optical scan voting stations with real paper ballots, but only 1 digital voting machine. San Francisco uses the Sequoia voting machine and well, here's my story:

Several towns had to photocopy ballots, while officials in Stratford put a call

March 4 primary using the Montgomery County Board of Elections online
application, look again. An apparent computer glitch causes the box marked
"Democrat" to go blank on the application that needs to be printed out and
signed to receive an absentee ballot. Applications for Republican ballots are
unaffected.

Voting generally went smooth across the Treasure Coast on Tuesday, though two counties experienced delays because of problems with precincts electronically sending in votes. The most severe delay occurred in St. Lucie County, where officials narrowly made the state's deadline of turning in votes by 11:59 p.m. Votes were delayed from two precincts at Harbour Place, an assisted living facility in Port St. Lucie, as poll workers tried unsuccessfully to electronically send them over, said Supervisor of Elections Gertrude Walker.
