They were able to cast their votes correctly for local and state races, but were unable to vote on a $3.5 million bond issue in the school district.

"There are laws that tell me that say I should vote independently and every place is mandated to have situations or equipment so I can and they may have equipment but it doesn't work properly."

Most voters got in and out of their polling places with ease on Tuesday. A few people, however, faced some challenges trying to cast their ballots. The Help America Vote Act of 2002 requires all polling sites to have at least one voting system designated for use by disabled voters. Disabled voter Melita Waters says the polling site for her precinct had such a machine but it didn’t work well.
